Sheets overlap, and the overlap has to hold and stay closed. Stitching screws join thin steel sheets to each other, without reaching the structure underneath.
Construction
Hardened carbon steel SAE 1022 with a TORX® drive and an aluminium washer Ø14 (TXAL). Short, because the joint is two sheet thicknesses — anything longer would only protrude under the roof.
Corrosion protection
Zinc coating of at least 12 µm. Heads can be powder coated — UV-resistant polyester 50–60 µm, colour-matched to the sheeting, so the line of fasteners along the overlap does not draw the eye.
