Screws for timber and concrete

Where the fastener has to reach timber or a concrete substrate, and the joint is one you do not want to revisit.

Construction

ARW 6.4xL — self-drilling, hardened carbon steel SAE 1022, 8 mm hexagonal head, with a stainless steel washer Ø16 (class S6). The stainless washer is the reason this line exists: it is specified for critical applications, where the sealing element has to outlast the roof rather than be replaced with it.

Where they are used

Flat sheets, profiled sheets and flashing elements fixed to timber or concrete. Zinc coating of at least 12 µm; heads can be powder coated to the colour of the sheeting.

Documentation

Covered by ETA-18/0789. Declarations of performance under Files to download, so the fixing can be documented in the project handover records.
