Sandwich panels transfer load differently from a single sheet: the fastener has to pass through both facings and the insulation core, and still clamp the panel without crushing it. The screws in this category are designed for exactly that — fixing sandwich panels to cold-formed steel structures.
Construction
Self-drilling screws with a double thread, made of hardened carbon steel SAE 1022, with an 8 mm hexagonal head. The double thread pulls the panel down in a controlled way, which is what keeps the joint tight over the panel’s service life. Sealing is provided by an aluminium EPDM washer Ø19 (class A9).
Corrosion protection
Screws in this category are supplied with Eco-GrePert™ coating. Heads can additionally be powder coated — UV-resistant polyester 50–60 µm, colour-matched to the panel facing.
Substrate and panel thickness
The intended substrate is a cold-formed steel structure. Each product table lists the minimum and maximum clamped thickness (MTmin / MTmax), so the length can be selected directly from the panel specification rather than by trial.
